Groovy Guava Mojo 26

Here is my card for Julee's Mojo Monday Card Sketch #26. It uses groovy guava, ruby red, river rock carstock, river rock DSP and ginger blossom DSP, ruby red ink and groovy guava double stitched ribbon. I don't have the Embrace Life set everyone likes so much, but I think I did ok with So Many Sayings and Garden Silhouettes (both retired hostess sets).

River Rock Star!

Today's card is for sketch challenge SC165 and I enjoyed TLC157 (technique challenge to use 2 designer papers) so much I had to use it on this one too. I also worked color challenge CC155 (use river rock, black, white) in there. My inking on top edge of the sentiment makes it look a bit crooked, but oh well. I don't think I know anyone graduating this year, but if someone pops up I already have a card!



Paper is basic black, whisper white, and river rock (cardstock and DSP). I used both the star punches and some river rock double-stitched ribbon also.

Cut-A-Bella

Woohoo! My new paper cutter showed up today! I bought a 12x12 Tonic guillotine cutter from joann.com last week and it finally showed up today after being "with delivery courier" since last Friday morning. I'm loving this thing!!!

So to christen my new cutter I had to take care of some challenges. This card fits sketch challenge 164, TLC157 (use two or more pattern papers) and a portion of LSC156 (use your own handwriting) AND since I think turqoise is a shade of blue I"m going to count it for Lee's challenge to use blue on a card.

Grumpabella came from Paula (thanks!) and was colored with prismacolor markers. All paper is SU, colors are tempting turqoise and old olive, ribbon is old olive.

Oh no, is the mojo gone???

I haven't posted in a few days because I've been working on a baby shower gift for a friend. I'd love to post pics but I know she's looked at my blog before and I can't have her seeing it before the shower! But I promise I'll take pics and post after she has received it. I'm hoping to work on some sketch challenges soon but I'm going to a OSW class tonight so maybe tomorrow...

Bayou Mojo

Here is my card for Julie T's Mojo Monday #25. The colors are chocolate chip, close to cocoa, and blue bayou. Cardstock in all three colors, and dsp in blue bayou and close to cocoa, ink is chocolate chip. I used Stampin Up's True Friend stamp set. I inked some of the edges and used my ticket punch and retired satin choc. chip ribbon the eyelets are some I had in my mega eyelet stash, probably Making Memories...

It has a bit of a westerny feel, don'tcha think?

Chocolate Covered Rose Sketches

I decided to try Julie Buhler's Color Concoction #2 (rose red, pretty in pink, chocolate chip) and Beate's Weekend sketch challenge #35. It isn't my favorite card, but I think it turned out ok...makes me think of Cherry Cordial candies at Christmas...

All materials were Stampin Up, but I believe the ribbon is retired, colors listed above, stamps are Heartfelt Thanks and linen background (also retired I think), and the patterned paper is rose red DSP.

ETA: I just realized my edges look a bit crooked, but I promise they are straight. I distressed the edges of the dsp and the pretty in pink piece and inked the distressed edges with choc. chip ink...

Balliwood Bling

This is a card I made at my up-upline Meredith's stamp club last night. I don't usually share cards I make at classes/camps, but I knew I wanted LuvLee to see the blingage! This uses the Bali Breeze paper and some glitter from the Spring-Summer Stampin Up catalog. It is a bit bolder and sparklier than my usual, but I think it turned out very nice!

SC163 and some itsy-bitsy bling!

Here is a card I made for Sketch Challenge 163 over on SCS. I have no idea where any of the stamps, paper, etc. came from, but the ribbon is satin and the brads are gemstone (AKA BLING!!!)

Super Stress Relief - Just Add Ink!

After a less than pleasant day at work I forced myself to do the weekly sketch challenge on SCS in hopes it would help me relax and get over being 8 degrees of ticked off...and it worked!!! And here are the results...

Cardstock is River Rock and Purely Pomegranate, patterned paper is River Rock DSP, ribbon is Purely Pomegranate satin ribbon (retired) and the stamps are Infinite Goodness (leaves) which is a level 2 hostess set and Friendship Flowers for the sentiment.

An elephant never forgets!

I'm on a roll! Here is a card I put together last night that involved some cuttlebug folder embossing. I just love Wild Wasabi and Pretty in Pink together. Just so fresh looking! The stamps are from MFT stamps, ribbon and papers are Stampin Up. Colored with my Prismacolor markers (I'm still learning...).

Wahoo! New Card Finally!

This is a congratulations card I made for my aunt who just made Lt. Colonel in the Air Force. The colors are river rock and blue bayou. She loves horses so I had to try out the new horse stamps I got for Christmas.

Still working on color for my photos, I don't have a white backdrop for my lightbox so I'm using a white pillowcase, but it doesn't have the shiny/reflective qualities of the backdrops that came with the lightbox.

Don't feed the animals!

One of my other hobbies is volunteering at the local zoo. I decided to make goody bags for all the volunteers to snack on during our business meeting this Thursday. I used MFT stamps (I think the set is called "It's a Jungle out There" and various green and brown ribbons that I only had a foot or two of so I was able to clean out a whole bunch of ribbon "leftovers". Now I just need to do some projects with pink, blue, orange, red, and purple. Inside the bags are a small bag of Cracker Jacks with prize, and about 6 or 7 various sizes and types of Tootsie Rolls. And I only ate 2 or 3 of the Tootsie Rolls before I made the goody bags! Trust me, I was showing great restraint in only eating 2 or 3. Anywho, here are the two designs of the goody bags...
