Seaside Portrait

This card is for MFT sketch challenge #27. I know it isn't all that good, but I had fun playing with some different techniques. The cardstock colors are sahara sand, river rock, bordering blue and soft sky. The lady and dog are colored with prismas and oms, then I scribbled in the background with my prismacolor markers, trying to go for a soft almost washed look. All stamps are By The Seashore by MFT Stamps, the different layers are torn to look like waves or the tide line where sand goes from wet (river rock) to dry (sahara sand). If you are comparing this to the sketch, the flock of birds is the star, the water layers are the strip down the middle. Thanks for looking!

Saffron Flowers

This was for a couple of the Gina K release party challenges at SCS. The flowers are from Cammie's Framed Flowers set and the sentiment is from Gina K's Rectangle Greetings set. The colors are so saffron, old olive, and very vanilla. The ribbon is old olive 5/8 in. grosgrain. I sponged some old olive on the so saffron mat of the main image.

Certainly Pretty Chocolate Merci

This card is for sketch challenge 173 and color challenge 163 (certainly celery, pretty in pink, chocolate chip) on SCS. The ink is chocolate chip and certainly celery (just a little celery peeking out from behind the pink pattern paper on the green panel), some piercing. Stamps on main image are from Merci (SAB 2008), and Baroque Motifs on the green panel. Both peices of Pretty in Pink are patterned papers.

Grumpabella is blue!

This card is for Bella Sketch #24 over on SCS. This is my first bella sketch challenge, I'm all excited waiting for my very first bella's to get here. Until then I thought I'd work with an image one of my SCS friends stamped for me. Grumpabella is colored with SU so saffron, not quite navy, and a Marvy marker that matches Soft Sky pretty closely. The paper is Soft Sky, Blue Bayou DSP, and Not Quite Navy for the darker cardstock. The sentiment is a Mary Engelbriet stamp I've had for a long time, no clue who actually manufactures it. Some piercing finishes it up!

Basic Blushing Guava Sketches

I made this card for Sketch Challenge 172 and Color Challenge 162 (basic gray, groovy guava, blush blossom) over on SCS. The butterfly with trail was cased from this card by luvtostampstampstamp. The base is blush blossom, then basic gray, then groovy guava cs and ginger blossom DSP. The image panel has groovy guava and basic gray ink on blush blossom, matted on groovy guava and then basic gray. The ribbon is groovy guava double-stitched and some Micheals $1 that is perfect basic gray color. Stamps are from Priceless set by SU!, and some piercing finishes it up.

My First Wristy

I made this a couple days ago but hadn't put the photo up yet. This is a wristy made out of an altoid type tin. The label started out as white cardstock but I used two of Melanie's "What's in Your Tin" sets and the little flower from baroque motifs to make the label in river rock and blue bayou. The river rock around the outer edge of the lid is a strip of cardstock, and the ribbon is blue bayou double-stitched. I used my CAD to punch a hole in the side for the wrist strap that I will use to hang this on the wall with all the little pieces for whatever my current project is so that I don't lose them (ask me how many projects have had to be put on hold so I could find ANOTHER of a brad/flower, etc. after I lost the first one).

Old Cameo Thanks

Made this card as the model for a swap I'm in, but decided the colors weren't quite as springy as I'd like, so a Thanks card it became. Old Olive pattern paper, Cameo Coral carstock and cream cardstock, Old Olive and Cameo Coral ink, and Old Olive 5/8 in. ribbon. Ribbon slide is from Making Memories. The flower stamp is from SU's Live Your Dream Set, the Thanks sentiment is from Gina K Designs.

Gina K sketch and Basic Pomegranate

This card is for the Gina K sketch challenge #1 in her forum over on SCS. It also uses Color Challenge 157 (Basic Black, Basic Gray, Purely Pomegranate). Stamp set is Gina K's Make A Wish set, ribbon is purely pomegranate satin and unknown black satin. The pom. star is popped over the star stamped image which was done by masking part of the stamp and stamping over and over and over :)

Teal Pumpkin Sky Birthday

This card was made for the Gina K color challenge #3 over in the Gina K forum at SCS. The colors are soft sky, taken with teal, pumpkin pie. I colored the flowers with SU markers and the water and table with Prismacolor Markers. The ribbon is soft sky double-stitched and some unknown orange polkadot. The stamps are from Gina K's set Simple Pleasures.
